Powerball — Mega Millions —

About LotteryTaxHub

LotteryTaxHub answers one question that the billboards never do: how much of a lottery jackpot would you actually keep? We built a free calculator that applies federal, state and city tax to Powerball, Mega Millions and any other prize, and we write plain-English guides to what happens after a win.

Who we are

The site is written and maintained by Nazadev, an independent developer who builds finance and utility tools, and published by FyoStudioDR, which also publishes apps on Google Play. We are not tax advisors, and we say so on every page: our numbers are estimates to help you understand the size of the tax bill, not personal advice.

What we do not do

How we keep it accurate

Federal figures come from the IRS. State figures are checked against each state's department of revenue before we publish a state guide, and pages show when they were last updated. If a state is still being checked, the calculator tells you and shows federal tax only. Read the methodology for the details.

How the site is funded

LotteryTaxHub is free. It may show advertising served by Google, and it promotes our own companion app. Ads never appear inside the calculator inputs, and we block gambling ads where our ad settings allow.
